Asbestos was banned in the UK in 1999 under the Control of Asbestos Regulations. This ban prohibits importing, supplying, and using asbestos and asbestos-containing products.

Still a Hazard

Despite the ban, asbestos remains a common hazard in older buildings in the UK, as many buildings constructed before the ban still contain asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).

Our asbestos cement removal service involves safely removing and disposing of cement-based items that contain asbestos. Due to its durability and fire-resistant properties, asbestos cement was often used in construction materials including roofing, flue pipes, floor tiles and other building products. However, the tiny fibres in asbestos are now known to cause cancer and other serious health problems if inhaled.

Damage and Deterioration

When asbestos cement products become damaged or deteriorate over time, they can release asbestos fibres into the air. As a result, we must stick to strict safety HSE procedures when removing and disposing of asbestos cement.

Use a Professional Asbestos Cement Removal Company

It is important you don’t attempt to remove asbestos-containing cement yourself. Proper precautions must be taken when working with or around materials containing asbestos, such as first conducting an asbestos survey and hiring competent professionals for asbestos removal and disposal.

AJC Environmental is a professional asbestos removal company, trained and equipped to safely remove asbestos-containing materials, including asbestos cement products. We use specialised equipment to contain and remove the asbestos and will dispose of it following regulations.

He was always a quick email or text away, and was really accommodating with his hours to come round and do the testing, considering both me and my husband work. Would highly recommend!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I cannot fault this company at all. My emails were answered promptly and when scheduled to come he turned up on time.
He made minimal mess and the report we were left with, after samples were tested, was very extensive.

Although he was not the cheapest quote we got, we went with this company as it was local to us. We are pleased that we did.
I would recommend them fully.
